Students’ Leaders Development Training and Tournament (SLEDT) started in the year 2015 and was  hosted by the University of Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria.

This maiden edition had twelve schools in participation with the theme Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. The Host VC, Prof. Abdul-Ganiyu Ambali in his welcome address charged the participating students’ leaders to look beyond the competition maximize the knowledge the training poise to offer for their better tomorrow. Guest of Honour Prof. Bisi Balogun former Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology Akure also reiterate the need for the young leaders to invest in capacity development among many other lectures that were facilitated by sound professionals in youth and educational development.

The participating schools thereafter presented their respective administrations’ achievements before the panel of judges and Osun State University was crowned the Best Students’ Union Government in Nigeria for the year 2015
